Description

An Agricultural Warehouse Personnel job involves managing the storage and movement of agricultural products, including loading/unloading, inventory tracking, and ensuring quality and safety of stored goods like seeds, fertilizers, and harvested crops. Key duties include organizing storage, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, picking and packing orders, preparing shipping documents, and using equipment such as forklifts. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the agricultural supply chain by preventing spoilage and damage and ensuring accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Track inventory levels, perform stock counts, and manage stock adjustments to maintain accurate records and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Receiving and Storage:

Unload incoming goods, such as fertilizers, seeds, and harvested crops, and store them in designated areas of the warehouse, ensuring proper storage conditions.

Order Picking and Packing:

Accurately pick, pack, and assemble orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct items are prepared for dispatch.

Loading and Shipping:

Load and unload trucks and other containers using manual or powered equipment, and prepare necessary shipping documents, such as packing slips and labels.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and maintaining equipment.

Quality and Safety Assurance:

Monitor conditions to prevent spoilage or damage to agricultural products and adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.

Record Keeping:

Document all inventory movements, adjustments, and transfers in the relevant systems and maintain organized records.

Equipment Operation:

Operate and maintain warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in good working order.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina:

    Ability to lift heavy items and stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Attention to Detail:

    Crucial for accurate inventory, order fulfillment, and safety.

  • Organization Skills:

    To arrange items for efficient space utilization and easy access.
