Description

A support worker in an agricultural company performs a wide range of duties, often involving assisting with farm operations, maintaining equipment, and caring for livestock and crops. Key Responsibilities:

Crop Management:

Assisting with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops according to seasonal schedules and implementing crop management plans.

Livestock Care:

Providing support for livestock, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and maintaining sanitary living conditions.

Equipment Operation:

Operating various types of farm equipment and machinery, such as tractors, harvesting machines, and sprayers.

Maintenance & Repair:

Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs on farm equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Monitoring & Reporting:

Monitoring crop and livestock health, identifying and reporting issues, and assisting with pest control and soil management efforts.

Teamwork & Safety:

Working collaboratively with other team members and farm managers to achieve work goals and following farm safety guidelines and training protocols.

Team Collaboration: Working with other farm employees and teams to meet production goals.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of agricultural operations, such as crop performance, labor hours, and resource usage.

Compliance:

Adhering to standards related to health and safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.

Agricultural Knowledge: A strong understanding of crop and animal science, planting, and sustainable farming practices.
